Operational Efficiency

Operational Efficiency

Improving operational efficiency is paramount, regardless of the industry or product. All manufacturing organizations must continuously strive to improve operational efficiency in order to remain competitive. An effective manufacturing execution system is a critical tool which can facilitate rapid process improvements and ensure sustainment.
At Strat-Aegis, we believe in implementing manufacturing execution system that can lead to reduced process costs, improved product quality, reductions in downtime, and ultimately, improve the overall operational efficiency. Our focus areas are -

  • Design and Develop Manufacturing strategy
  • Design and Develop Strategy in supply chain management
  • Improving manufacturing KPIs (Plant assessment, Capacity and Operations planning)
  • Lean strategy implementation
  • Cost optimization-Clean sheet costing, fixed cost, Variable cost and conversion
  • Manufacturing 4.0 Implementation

Demand flow technology (DFT)

Demand Flow Technology (DFT) is a strategy for defining and deploying business processes in a flow, driven in response to clients’ demand. DFT is based on a set of applied mathematical tools that are used to connect processes in a flow and link it to daily changes in demand. DFT represents a scientific approach to flow manufacturing for discrete production. It is built on principles of demand pull where clients demand is the central signal to guide factory and office activities in the daily operation. DFT is intended to provide an alternative to schedule-push manufacturing which primarily uses a sales plan and forecast to determine a production schedule.
Our approach to support the clients in development and execution of demand flow technology through an application of a structured process on domain knowledge involves -

  • Production Synchronization (S&OP)
  • Sequence of Events- VA/NVA (Value stream mapping), Total cycle time optimisation
  • Line Design - Flow Rate/ TAKT, Revise SOE, Line balancing, Line Layout, Labour efficiency
  • DFT Work Instruction - TQC Worksheet (MPI/PTI) , SOE/process
  • Material Pull System - Kanban for in-house/vendor supply, Supplier transformation

Supply chain solutions

Our supply chain solutions involve helping clients in the integration of business process, technology and company culture and to develop strategies and implement business improvements that get near-term and long-term results. After existing supply chain is analysed and recommendations are made, the true business value is delivered. Our solutions consist of following elements-

  • Value stream mapping
  • Develop low cost supply base and perform purchase hub activities
  • Quality assessment and certification of vendors
  • Value added supplier negotiations
  • Strategic sourcing/Localization/contract manufacturing/3rd part Quality audit
  • Logistics and distribution strategy
  • Disruptive supply chain management
  • Supply chain resilience –multi-sourcing, near-shoring, manufacturing network diversification, ecosystem partnership, product/plant harmonization

We believe that the supply chain optimization results in the ability to make smart business decisions, thereby, help increase revenue, reduce cost and improve quality & delivery.
